Friday the 13th of January 2023:“My Friday Evening Alone Time”!!!

Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro: 35oC, Sunny and stuffy.

As I do every day, I typically begin with an early morning exercise session right at the end of Leme. It’s a routine that kickstarts my day with a burst of energy and sets a positive tone. But today, Friday, there’s a unique sense of anticipation in the air.

Why, you ask? Well, Fridays sometimes grant me the luxury of finishing my work a little earlier than usual, and today was one such day, with my classes ending at 3 p.m.

As Yasmin, my younger daughter, headed back to her mother’s home, I found myself with a long weekend ahead, starting from Friday afternoon. While some people might dread the idea of being alone, I embrace it with open arms. Don’t get me wrong.

I adore my daughter’s company and cherish every moment spent with her and other people’s company, too! Yet, there’s an undeniable charm in having some quality time all to myself. It’s a chance to do things my way, the way I want, shape my surroundings just the way I like, and enjoy the freedom that comes with it.

Whether I’m catching up on work, engrossed in a captivating book, or diving into some focused study, it’s a ritual I look forward to. The wine adds a touch of relaxation to the evening, making it all the more enjoyable.

For me, every moment of solitude is a precious opportunity to invest in self-care and replenish my well-being reserves. So, on this particular Friday evening, I found myself studying while drinking reasonable wine, an experience that always truly hits the spot.

By 10 p.m., I was already in bed, feeling content and at peace with the world. It’s a simple yet profoundly satisfying way to end the day, setting the stage for a secluded, peaceful weekend.

After all, there’s something extraordinary about creating your perfect sanctuary of peace and contentment, even if it’s just for a few precious hours or days.

Thank you.

Thank you for your continued support. Please remember to explore more of my blog posts, and feel free to leave a comment; your thoughts are always appreciated.
