Monday the 23rd of January 2023:“Learning, Adapting, and Creating”!!!

Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro: 30oC, hot, sunny and stuffy.

Not too long ago, I bought a gimbal to use with my cell phone for filming. It sounded simple enough, but as it turned out, gimbal operation is anything but simple, especially for a beginner like me. The multitude of settings and the complexity of the device initially left me perplexed.

However, determined to master this device and gain a new skill, I turned to YouTube, the trusted source of knowledge nowadays. It proved invaluable, as always. I found instructional videos that clarified my doubts and provided step-by-step guidance.

This is a testament to the wealth of knowledge that is readily available to anyone with an internet connection and a thirst for learning. Acquiring new skills and expanding one’s horizons is just a click away in today’s digital age.

Now, let me tell you about my flat in Copacabana. It’s a charming one-bedroom apartment with a spacious living room and an enormous master bedroom. But here’s the twist: I’ve adapted the maid’s bedroom, which is surprisingly roomy and comfortable with its own small bathroom, into Yasmin’s personal bedroom. It boasts shelves, a desk, cupboards, and wardrobes, all in good taste – a room she can truly call her own.

She is loving the experience, as it harks back to when she was just 4 or 5 years old. Back then, when we lived in Flamengo, I would set up a tent in her bedroom, and she would enjoy the thrill of camping indoors.

So, every night now, she sleeps in the living room, reminiscent of those bygone indoor make-believe camping adventures. It’s a small reminder that life is full of delightful moments and unexpected pleasures, even on a Monday.

It’s crucial to keep in mind that learning is a lifelong journey, and being adaptable is essential for achieving success. Life is a blend of growth and nostalgia, whether it’s about mastering modern technology or cherishing precious memories. When faced with challenges, it’s important to address the present obstacles and past memories.

Thank you.
