Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro: 32oC, very hot and sunny.
The morning was typical, with exercise and classes. In the afternoon, I had to pick up some money from a student and pay Dona Vera at Belli Occhi Otica, an optician’s where I have been buying glasses for years. The shop is in the same gallery where I used to have my school before the pandemic.
It is also where I purchase my beads for my bracelets. I have been wearing bracelets since I was a teenager, and for the last ten years or so, I have been wearing bead bracelets—a simpler but more elegant kind of bracelet. Their understated beauty attracts a lot of attention wherever I go.
Yasmin won’t be with me this weekend, so I plan to create and make some bead bracelets to begin selling soon. I am only setting everything up, including stock, brand name, site, etc. I am unsatisfied with the brand name; I must think of something better.
The name is essential; I must choose a good name that depicts exactly what the bracelets are for. I believe this small but interesting business has a lot of potential and is something I am very passionate about.
Setting a deadline for the bracelet business is crucial. A project without a deadline is a dream with no priority or urgency. A deadline is paramount to dealing with pending issues, projects, problems, etc. Even if the deadline is not met 100%, it still turns the project into an absolute priority and not just a thought or a talk.
It’s important to understand that if something is essential for your future, it is seen as a priority; it needs a deadline. Setting a deadline for the bracelet business or anything else is crucial to give it the attention and importance it deserves.
DEADLINES + PRIORITIES = ACTION and A RESULT

My elder daughter, Jessica, concerns me a little; she sent me a message, and I promptly replied. I am unsure whether she is happy or not. Still, I would like to know that she’s okay despite our distant relationship.
In bed by 9 pm.
Thank you.
