In the past, people were only required to work from noon on the Wednesday after carnival if they had to go back to work on that day.
However, during my time running the school, I tried to hold classes on Wednesday afternoons, but no one ever showed up. In some other carnivals, the school only opened on Thursdays.
Nowadays, most people return to work on Thursday, and if they’re lucky, they may not have to work until the following Monday.
I had planned to start teaching at 7 a.m., but nobody appeared. Everyone was still in carnival mode, and it wasn’t the right time for studying, working, or speaking English. Instead of working, I decided to exercise, watch some old films, and start reading a new book.
It’s been a while since I’ve read a fictional book, but I’m really enjoying it. When I first picked up the book, I intended to read just a few pages, but it was so good that I ended up reading over fifty pages before bed.
Now that carnival is over, I feel pressure to do something good with my life. After a year and a half of hard studying, I must put that knowledge into action and make money. Even if it’s something small, I need to start now.
Taking action is the only way to achieve something positive and productive. Even though I’m scared, I need to break through the wall and move forward, even if it means walking in the dark. There are many situations in life that we can only face alone.
We need to take action and never give up!
