Sunday the 2nd of July 2023:“Embracing Change: A Reflection on the Past and Future”!!!

Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro: 25oC, warmish, sunny and slightly overcast.

I feel that I am in a transitory moment between two states: the old and new me, my old life and my new life. Both are there, the old behind me and the new in front of me.The old will always be a part of me, and I am grateful for what it has given me until now.

However, it must now rest and allow my new life, my future, to take the lead and play its final role. I know it is happening, and it would be impossible to return to my old life, but sometimes, we want the process to be faster instead of letting it take its own, occasionally slow, natural course.

This sounds so dramatic, but it is not; it is just a question of giving up past ties and weights that hold us down, not returning to before, and enjoying every moment of your new day. Enjoying the people who are both a direct and indirect part of your life is exciting and gratifying.

Creating positive boundaries for yourself of what is and is not acceptable is extremely rewarding and facilitates your day-to-day life in many ways and forms. Leaving your comfort zone in some small way creates unimaginable beneficial consequences that none of us would ever imagine.

Live each day as if it were the last while, not forgetting to be happy. What is the point of trying to improve yourself and your life without happiness?

If you are unhappy, understand why and change, and even after the change and you are still not, change again and again until you discover what is good for you and your happiness. A good life is not for amateurs, so do not be an amateur.

On Sunday morning, I walked more than fifteen kilometres, arriving home at about midday. I then had a shower and lunch, worked on the internet, and watched a film.

In bed by 10 pm.

Thank you.
