Thursday the 17th of August 2023:“Financial Growth; Empowerment for the Future”!!!

Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro: 27oC, hottish, sunny and slightly overcast.

The bank offers virtual investment boxes labelled with specific investment options. You can deposit money into these boxes at any time. I’ve always wanted this feature, where I can allocate money to different investments based on my goals and reasons. Yesterday, I created two boxes: one for buying a motorbike and another for retirement.

They are CDI Investments. It’s nothing spectacular, but it allows you to put money away. If you earn interest and a little money at the same time, in the beginning, it is better than having nothing. The idea is to deposit money as regularly as possible and forget about it, and maybe one day, you will wake up and find out that because of compound interest, you have much more than you expected.

The money you have been putting away, suddenly, over a long time, has turned into a nice nest egg.

I am setting aside at least R$ 10.00 Reais for each box every three or four days. It may seem small, especially since I am just starting, but everyone must start somewhere. I’m curious to see how this amount will grow over the next couple of years. Like with anything, the secret is to start. We must begin.

I can deposit Brazilian Reais in Brazil and spend it in British pounds in England, and vice versa. I can also check the current exchange rates. This allows me to hold money in different currencies, such as British Pounds, Brazilian Reais, American Dollars, etc., and use or exchange them whenever needed or convenient.

While in England, my pupils can deposit money into my regular bank accounts or directly into my ‘Wise’ account. I was a little worried about going to England and being unable to pay for myself or having money problems while there. Now, in theory, there should be no problem. Hopefully, when I go to England, this won’t be an issue.

Going to the websites, I have completed the initial phase of ‘PlaceBeads’. The theme has been chosen, the logo is done, and I’ve also prepared the overview and description for the home page. Now, all that’s left to do is set up the shop.

For this, I’ll need high-quality photos of the bracelets, which require at least one or two meters of white fabric for an infinite background. I plan to purchase this fabric over the weekend, and my goal for the next week is to finalise the website for ‘PlaceBeads.’

I feel like I am developing the websites much slower than I would like. It’s much more complex and involves a lot more responsibility than I had initially expected.

But after finishing ‘Placebeads’, the other websites will be easier, or at least they should be. Things are happening, so we can’t slow down or stop, and we have to contend that even though it is slower than expected, I am going forward.

It’s a bit like exercising. We start, and maybe we don’t see returns or results for months, and then suddenly, everything comes together, and all that work is worth it. But even so, you cannot stop because if you stop, then all the work that has been done is lost.

I am feeling content and optimistic. Everything seems to be falling into place. However, I cannot afford to stop or slow down. I must keep moving forward without hesitation, self-sabotage, or doubt. We must keep going, even if it means navigating through the unknown.

We need to believe in our capacity, that we are heading in the right direction, and that, eventually, we will reach our intended destination, no matter what happens.

In bed by 10:30 pm.

Thank you.
