Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro: 30 °C, hot, sunny and unstable.
It’s Wednesday morning, and I have a 7 a.m. class, so I am doing a home workout that includes push-ups.
Before class, I have to drop Yasmin off at the Metro station for school. I live in Brazil, and my mother lives in England. As I recently changed my phone number, I called her to give her the new one. The first time I called, she did not answer, but I left a message with the new number.
Luckily, she understood and called me back on the new number. Later that day, we talked for over 10 minutes, which was nice.
I was relieved to hear that her health was okay and not as bad as I had initially thought. I am anxious about returning the flat to the landlady and about finding a new place to live. As I am ageing, the idea of moving frequently is becoming less appealing to me.
Furthermore, this is happening simultaneously with the side hustles that I am currently investing in. It feels like everything is happening all at once.
I need to open new small businesses as soon as possible to generate more income. Yasmin’s return to school this week is a relief after almost two months of holidays. She is doing well and is happy to be back.
In bed by 9 p.m.
Thank you.
